Development

The idea was born in early 2017 by Adam who wanted to merge crypto technology with old-school arcade systems. After months of development and financial support from Scott (BittyBot), Adam had modified a once defunct 1999 arcade claw machine into a bitcoin accepting, fully working machine and CryptoGrabber was born. CryptoGrabber was showcased at CoinFestUK on April 7th & 8th 2017. The machine was well received and we had some awesome feedback. Over 30 people played the machine (many winning apparel!).

Having developed new merchandise partnerships in 2018 and following further successful developments on the payment system in early 2019, CryptoGrabber was present at CoinFestUK 2019 (On April 4th, 5th & 6th). The machine was played over 80 times with payments being made in a accepted currencies. We had great feedback and some ideas on how to improve the machine.

At CoinFestUK 2019 we had an awesome promo video created! Check it out at Vimeo

Future Developments

Using the CryptoBatesGroups API system our machine now shows a dynamically created price encoded QR code to make our payment system much smoother to use.

We are working to add Bitcoin Lightning payments to our machine, initial developments on modifying the machine have been tested and are fully working, more updates to follow soon.

CryptoBatesGroup have been commissioned to build a range of machines based on the CryptoGrabber aswell as this we hope to develop a range of arcade machines to open the first Crypto Arcade, stay tuned....
